A Colorful Retro Elopement in Austin TX

Intimate Queer Elopement Vibes Complete With A Drag Queen Officiant

When it comes to Austin elopements, this one takes the cake! Vibrant and full of joy, Ana & Zoe’s intimate day was a retro-lovin’ dreamscape. Celebrating their love on Halloween, every moment was a perfect blend of color, community and groovy 70s style. Let’s dive into all the details that made this queer Austin elopement an absolute vibe.

The Setting: A Cozy East Austin Lounge Featured On Peerspace

Ana & Zoe’s magical day took place at a charming Peerspace in Austin – a 60s/70s-inspired house designed by the iconic Dani Klarić. It was like entering a Christy Anna Photography dreamland.

It had all my favorite things: bold colors, funky furniture, and an ultra-cool lounge style. From its vibrant walls to vintage-inspired details, the space was not only a perfectly-styled backdrop, but the kind of joy-filled space Ana & Zoe envisioned for saying “always & forever.” Designed for events and intimate gatherings, this gem of a location gave their day a totally dreamy & super nostalgic house-party energy.

Thinking about eloping in Austin, but want to ditch the usual venues or spots? Why not go all in and pick a spot that feels like you? I love that they chose a Peerspace event rental because it’s such an outside-the-box option for finding creative, hidden gems in the city. 10/10 would recommend!

Getting Ready: Colorful Vibes & A SWEET SURPRISE

Before walking down the aisle (or in this case, gathering in a retro chic living room), the couple and their doggos got ready on-site. Ana’s little white dress and edgy black boots paired perfectly with Zoe’s groovy, checkered suit. Just add in their pups, and the heartwarming scene is complete… or is it?

While their elopement started as an intimate affair, just the couple and their furry friends – but little did Ana know, a surprise was brewing. Under the radar, Zoe had invited their closest friends and fam to the elopement, showing up to surprise Ana and join in on their celebration. It was the sweetest surprise, adding so much joy to their little gathering.

Love, Cake & Dancing

A Drag Queen-Officiated Austin Elopement

Zoe & Ana’s elopement was officiated by the fabulous Celia Light, who turned heads in a stunning lesbian flag-inspired gown. Celia kicked off the ceremony by introducing Zoe & Ana, who did a little dance into the houses cozy, retro lounge. Their vow exchange was soooo heartfelt and really shined through in every photo!

Celia Light kicked off the festivities with a surprise performance, transitioning everyone into a little dance party featuring Chappell Roan’s “HOT TO GO.”  ❤️‍🔥

Let’s not forget the adorable Halloween-themed cake by Lovejoy Bakery. Decorated with little ghosties on top, it was the cutest subtle nod to their Halloween-day elopement. They wrapped the day up with their guests while soaking in aaalll the sweet, sweet love.
