A Lakeside Red Berry Estate Wedding That Felt Like a Movie
Every once in a while, I pull into a wedding venue and immediately know I'm going to have way too much fun. Jackleen and Jacob's Red Berry Estate wedding was one of those days.
Between the French-inspired architecture, the lakeside views, and a team of incredibly talented vendors (many of whom happened to be Jackleen's friends), inspiration was everywhere I turned. Every detail felt intentional. Nothing felt overdone. It was elegant, creative, and completely true to who they are as a couple.
And I have to be honest here, those are my favorite weddings to photograph.

The property feels like stepping into a European estate without ever leaving Texas. The grand brick château, perfectly manicured grounds, elegant balconies, and peaceful lake all create an incredible backdrop before you even begin decorating.
As a San Antonio wedding photographer, one of my favorite things about Red Berry Estate is how much variety you can capture without ever leaving the property.
One moment you're creating timeless portraits against the estate's stunning architecture. A few minutes later you're by the water with soft reflections dancing across the lake. Then you can wander through the gardens for something that feels completely different.
Your gallery ends up feeling like it was photographed across multiple locations, even though everything happens in one beautifully designed space.
A Ceremony That Felt Straight Out of a Fairytale
The ceremony took place on the back lawn overlooking the lake, and it couldn't have been a prettier setting.
Guests were welcomed by the sound of a live violin as they found their seats alongside one of the most unique ceremony aisles I've ever seen — a mirrored walkway that reflected the sky, the florals, and every step leading to the altar.
At the end of the aisle sat a satin-draped gazebo overflowing with white roses, designed by Bisli Luxurious Events. With soft fabric moving in the breeze and the lake just beyond, the entire ceremony felt effortlessly romantic. Then Jackleen made her entrance while a close friend sang live.
Those are the moments people remember. Not because they're elaborate, but because they're deeply personal.
Every Detail Told Their Story
One of my favorite parts of this wedding wasn't just how beautiful everything looked. It was how personal it all felt.
So many of the creative partners involved were friends of Jackleen's, which meant every floral arrangement, every design choice, and every carefully planned moment carried a little extra meaning.
Nothing felt like it had been chosen simply because it was trendy. Everything reflected them.
Weddings like that stay with me long after I've delivered the gallery.
Editorial Portraits? Absolutely.
Once the ceremony wrapped up, we finally had a chance to slow down for portraits.
This is usually one of my favorite parts of any wedding day. The timeline pauses for a little while. The nerves disappear. It's one of the first moments couples get to simply enjoy being married together before the reception begins.
Jackleen completely embraced the editorial vision she'd imagined from the beginning.
Between the architecture, the dramatic staircases, the lake, and the incredible natural light around the estate, every location seemed to offer an entirely different backdrop. We leaned into movement, clean compositions, and timeless portraits that felt elevated without feeling overly posed.
And then there were the outfit changes. Three of them.
Each look brought a completely different energy to the gallery, from classic bridal elegance to a shimmering bodycon dress that looked absolutely made for the estate's sophisticated aesthetic.
It's one of the reasons I love photographing weddings at Red Berry Estate. The venue gives you so much variety that every chapter of the day can have its own distinct feel while still telling one cohesive story.
A Reception Everyone Will Remember
When your bride owns a dance studio, expectations for the first dance are naturally a little higher. Jackleen and Jacob somehow managed to exceed them anyway.
Their choreographed first dance was one of those moments where every guest instinctively reached for their phone because they genuinely couldn't believe what they were watching.
And the performances didn't stop there. Professional dancers joined throughout the evening, turning the reception into something that felt more like an incredible live production than a traditional wedding reception. It was joyful. Unexpected. And so much fun to photograph.
